A Century of Christian Education | School Anniversary Home

In 1906 the founding members of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church founded a Christian Day School in their midst. Despite a damaging fire in 1929, the hardships of the Great Depression, and a temporary school closing in the 1930s, Jerusalem Lutheran School has been a staple of Christian education in Morton Grove, Illinois, for over 100 years.

The school reopened its doors in 1946 in cooperation with two neighboring congregations and since 1959 it has been operated independently by Jerusalem Congregation. To mark the fiftieth anniversary of that event and to recognize a century of Christian education, we are inviting you to a weekend celebration to "Remember the Past, Celebrate the Present, and Secure Our Future."
